If you are looking to work in Michigan’s rapidly growing cannabis industry, Common Citizen is looking to hire you.
The privately owned company announced Wednesday that it wants to hire 30 people by next Monday and as many as 100 by the end of 2020.
These new hires would be used to staff up its 200,000 square foot indoor greenhouse in Marshall, MI., plus three provisioning centers already open in Flint, Detroit and now Battle Creek.
Common Citizen hopes to open five more provisioning centers in Michigan soon. Those would be located in Lansing, Hazel Park, Warren and Grand Rapids. No dates have been established yet for those openings.
“At Common Citizen, we are proud to expand job opportunities and help boost economies in the communities we serve during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Michael Elias, Common Citizen CEO. “As we continue to grow our Common Citizen team, we will maintain our commitment to the safety, health and well-being of our customers, employees, future team members and our communities.”
In an earlier interview, Elias said he hopes to one day expand his Marshall greenhouse to 1.2 million square feet to not only provide cannabis products to Michigan, but the surrounding Great Lakes states.
So if you are looking for a job, Common Citizen is seeking applicants for cultivation jobs at its greenhouse and retail positions at its Flint, Battle Creek and Detroit locations.
Additional job openings in Marshall include Facilities Manager, Production Lead, Extraction Lead, Security Guard, Supply Chain Lead, Compliance Lead, Continuous Improvement Lead and Accountant/Controller. There is also a Customer Experience/ Marketing Lead opening for the Detroit and Flint areas.
