A few months ago, Netflix’s first original African series, “Queen Sono,” was in the works. Broadcasting giants have recently announced that a suspense and spy series starring Parususi will be premiering on February 28 in 190 countries.
With the release date of Queen Sono blocked, fans can begin an official countdown until the Netflix original reaches the TV screen.
Created and created by comedian Kagiso Ladyga, “Queen Sono” sees Pearl Suu Kyi playing an unconventional spy role dedicated to protecting Africans. But in one of her jobs, she unknowingly discovers shocking details about the death of her mother.
On December 10, 2019, Netflix premiered the first teaser for “Queen Sono”. One-minute teasers are less common, except that the main character, Pearl Soushi, walks slowly and dramatically towards his throne.

The year has just begun, but Netflix has already begun accumulating new originals this year. Most of the time, we are still catching up with all the movies and series in 2019 (or 2018), but the speed of the streaming service has not slowed down.
