Netflix’s Altered Carbon series is getting its own tabletop RolePlaying Game

Altered Carbon, the Netflix series about solving mysteries in a far-future cyberpunk world, is getting a tabletop game.

Wow, It is all thanks to the Kickstarter campaign that the incredible Altered Carbon, Sci-fi series from Netflix will be coming to the realm of tabletop RPG’s.

However, the Altered Carbon RPG is being developed in collaboration with Skydancce Television, the company of the Netflix series.

The uniqueness of the reality show, the tabletop game continues to have is an idea of death, character death.

We can see in the show when you die, you can simply “re-sleeve” yourself into a new body- this is the narrative point of her recasting of Anthony Mackie for protagonist Takeshi Kovers, originally played by Joel Kinnaman.

The same concept will be coming to the tabletop operation, where you can pay for it and allow you to re-sleeve your character into a new body with all new traits and attributes.

The pledge of $25 will net you the PDF RPG, where a $50 pledge will offer a hard copy as well as the PDF.

Also possible to likely spurge, a $150 pledge will give you the synthetic Bunge. Which offers “Illuminum Dice” under a UV light you can read it.

Amazingly, the campaign’s goal was $20000 which is not only met in just 2 hours but is currently set on $88000 at the time of writing putting it over 400% of its original goal.

Also, there is an announcement, via Hunters Entertainment Skydance Media has reached a multiyear licensing agreement with Hunters Entertainment to produce tabletop role-playing games set within the stunning Sci-fi universe of the hit Netflix series, Altered Carbon.
