David Lynch’s new and bizarre Netflix Short is the perfect companion to this Quinoa recipe.
David Lynch has released a strange new short film called WHAT DID JACK on Netflix, celebrating his 20th birthday.
The 17-minute murder mystery first published at the Cartier Poole Contemporary Art Foundation in Paris in November 2017 stars Lynch as a gray-haired detective interrogating a capuchin monkey named Jack.
It is weird, nice and worth a look. After all, it’s only a 17-minute investment.
But the black and white images, the harsh shades of hard sand, and the strange cartoon situation remind one of my favorite lynch gems.
That’s right. That is the whole movie. A surreal and melancholy culinary show for something as simple as quinoa in a way that only David Lynch can do.

For years, the Andean staple quinoa (KEEN-wah) has recently been promoted as a superfood because of its high protein content and its potential to solve the crisis of starvation.
Celebrities such as Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, and David Lynch have certified. Oh yeah, why not try David Lynch’s Quinoa recipe? Well, you have to do it. If you are not affected by the glitter, this same Lynchian launch may take you to the point.
Please see the first part of the Lynch video recipe above, the second part below. It starts at the peak of Lynch. Ominous intermittent music, flashy lighting, and obsessive patience against slow construction that only David Lynch can do.
The second half of Lynch’s video recipe is completely immersed in a place visible far away from Quinoa, a terrain depicting David Lynch’s inner life. Everyday objects gain a mysterious bright resonance. Small ritual exchanges represent a global change in consciousness.
