On May 22, Common Citizen opened its third cannabis provisioning center in Michigan, this one in Battle Creek where it provides both medical and adult-use recreational marijuana.
Common Citizen also has another medical marijuana and adult-use center in Flint, plus a medical marijuana-only store in Detroit.
CEO Michael Elias has plans to open four more stores in Lansing, Hazel Park, Warren and Grand Rapids. No dates have been established yet for those openings.
“We have been eagerly awaiting this expansion of our retail operation to offer our safe, high-quality cannabis products to adult-use customers in Battle Creek and the surrounding communities,” said Elias.
“We offer personalized, one-on-one consultation with our highly educated Citizen Advisors that allows us to serve the unique needs of patients and adult-use customers, including new cannabis users. I would like to personally thank Emmett Township trustees and staff for supporting our business as we continue creating jobs and supporting our local economy.”
In February, Common Citizen opened a 200,000 square foot cannabis greenhouse in Marshall, MI. In an interview, Elias said eventually the greenhouse could expand to 1.2 million square feet and provide marijuana to the Great Lakes region and perhaps beyond.
The newest Common Citizen store is located at 1240 E. Columbia Ave. in Emmett Township, just outside Battle Creek.
Common Citizen is a privately owned and operated company, focusing on high-quality cannabis cultivation, processing, retail and wholesale distribution for both the medical and adult-use retail markets in Michigan and across the United States.
