Apple’s New Mac Pro gets FCC certification, To be launched Soon

Apple’s new Mac Pro which was first introduced at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2019 (WWDC 2019) back in June this year, has yet not hit the market.

At the event, Apple had revealed that its new computer would be launched ”this fall” and since then there hasn’t been any word from the company.

But now the upcoming Mac Pro has received a certification from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Coming to you soon

Mac Pro’s showing up in the FCC does not necessarily mean that the device is going to launch soon, as many devices appear on FCC way before the launch, but Apple’s devices usually appear on the FCC around their launch.

So there are still chances for the Mac Pro to hit the market as soon as next month.

Words from the maker himself

The image in the FCC listing surprisingly points out to the fact that the device has been ”Assembled in China” unlike previous Mac Pro models that have been assembled in Austin, Texas.

“The Mac Pro is Apple’s most powerful computer ever and we’re proud to be building it in Austin. We thank the administration for their support enabling this opportunity,” Tim Cook had said earlier.

All new features

Coming to its features, the new Mac Pro comes powered by Intel Xeon processors with up to 28 cores and 1.5TB memory capacity. It gets Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-A, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual 10Gigabit Ethernet ports, and Bluetooth v5 for connectivity.

The Mac Pro will be available at a starting price of $5,999 which is roughly Rs 4,15,000 in Indian currency. It will be sold in multiple configurations – an 8-core variant with 32GB RAM, 256GB solid-state drive and a 28-core Intel Xeon processor with 1.5 terabytes RAM.

We urge you to get your hands on it as soon as possible, we know we certainly will!
